One of the most common questions we get is ‘what grinder should I buy?’
The best way to improve your coffee making is to make sure you have a quality grinder that gives a consistent result and to grind the coffee just before you make it. To that end, here are a few grinders that we’ve seen or heard of that give good results.
Sunbeam Cafe Series Conical Burr Coffee Grinder (EM0480) – possibly the cheapest grinder we can recommend without too many caveats (there is a cheaper EM0450 model but it has just a bit too much plastic on it for our liking). Available from most major retailers.
Breville SmartGrinder has received some pretty good reviews online and seems to have enough bells and whistles to satisfy anyone. Available from most major retailers.
We use a Compak K3T here for our morning double shot and have been extremely happy with it. From our experience anything from Compak, Rancilio, Mazzer or Macap will give great results in the home and as with most things – you get what you pay for.
